Mark Johnson, a Houston-based Homebuilder green, and often work together Andrew McFarland, a Houston architect, Hometta was established to improve the way housing architecture is designed and delivered this day.

Johnson and McFarland enlisted four “core” architects and designers, all known to work very innovative, to establish the company’s vision. The core group – James Evans, Dawn Finley, Brett Zamore and Satterfield Blair – who in turn recruited 20 talented studio to contribute to the design of launch. Together, this represents the first 24 studio 17 cities, 9 states of the USA, and 4 countries (Chile, China, Germany, and the U.S.).

“Hometta that allows us to reach a segment of homebuyers, they are looking for a smaller house, that may not be considered real architecture into one of the options,” said Wes Jones, principal of Los Angeles-based Jones, Partners: Architects. “As someone who believes that the architecture of the responsibility to the community begins with the place, I very pleased to be associated with this.”

Vision of intractable

Hometta of the plan are defined according to the criteria defined, uniquely interpreted by each studio:

Modern: The house is exquisitely modern, offers all the design, livability and ingenuity of the custom house.

Small: in 2500 capped a square foot, which is widely used as the size of the average American single family home, in houses that serve unmet needs efficient, relatively affordable housing but to comply with high standards of architecture. Small house and supplement plan also supports, rather than compete with the architects’ core business.

Sustainability: With the good of their smaller size, the houses that use less energy and produce less waste. They use materials and sustainable design, such as hydronic heating and cooling, passive ventilation, and planted or solar-paneled “side,” to improve energy efficiency and performance.
